Membership is absolutely free and available to everyone. In order to help you join the IECC as quickly as possible please send the following information in an e-mail to . This information will help the IECC New Member Program department determine the degree of familiarization you need for playing e-mail chess. Please note that completion of the New Member Program is a requirement before game assignments can be made.

  • E-mail Address The e-mail address IECC will use for its records (please DO NOT include "IECC" as part of this e-mail address)

  • How did you learn about IECC?
  • Do you know your chess rating? If so, please include it here.
  • Have you played e-mail chess before?
  • If yes, with which organization?
  • Are you familiar with algebraic notation?
  • Are you familiar with PGN?

SPECIAL NOTE: English is the official language of IECC as it is for some other international email chess clubs. While the IECC Guidelines are available in several languages, and efforts are made by Staff to effectively communicate with non-English speaking members as much as possible, Staff cannot be responsible for non-English speaking members misunderstanding email messages sent to them, nor is Staff obliged to translate messages written in any language but English. Therefore, it is the responsibility of non-English speaking members to ensure their email messages are clearly understood by Staff.
